TOP  - Regional Co-ordinators

Regional Co-ordinators
The Counties listed are a guide only, there is some sharing around the boundaries

Richard Brundle -  Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk
Richard Brundle worked in the Inland Revenue for over 43 years. In that time he covered all aspects of personal taxation and undertook the full range of duties within the department. This was an excellent grounding as when he became the management inspector in the Great Yarmouth Tax office he had the knowledge to understand all of the duties being undertaken by the staff members. When computers were introduced into the Eastern Region in 1985 he was part of the training team, which led to a keen interest in the departments computer systems. In the last 5 years of his revenue career his knowledge and expertise in both tax procedures and computer systems were fully recognised as he worked as a special advisor on 3 major projects undertaken by the department. In addition to his role as a regional –controller he likes to see clients where a volunteer is not readily available. When not involved with TOP he is always doing something with or for his family, as he is very much a family man.

Alex Stewart -  Scotland

Alex started out working as a telegraph boy for the Post office  unaware of his 'green credentials' at the time. He then spent 37 years with HMRC before accepting retirement.Whilst with HMRC he was involved in the assessment and collection of taxes which also took him into the area of compliance and employment status. During a  working career break in Spain Alex was able to use his skills to help expats and clients with their tax concerns. He also dealt with his mothers financial affairs prior to her death, making him fully aware of the problems encountered by older people. These days he keeps fit by walking his two rescue dogs and enjoys exploring the UK with his wife in their touring caravan. This doesn't stop him promoting the valuable services provided by TOP. It is lucky he has such an understanding wife.
